“Exploring the Micro Four Thirds Format” A presentation laying out the advantages and disadvantages of MFT as implemented by OM System/Olympus. (Keith Putt)

Photography has been Keith’s main creative outlet ever since he watched the magic of darkroom printing as a teenager. Keith was late switching from film to digital and when he did he bet on the dark horse – the Micro Four Thirds crop sensor.

MFT’s compact characteristics and easy portability are almost unmatchable. Computational photography conveniences such as live composite, live time/bulb, live neutral density and multi-second hand held exposures are mostly unique to this system. Plus the OM-1 may be the fastest camera on the market. All this at a reasonable price point.

So why don’t people stampede straight to Micro Four Thirds? In this presentation Keith will describe his 11 year experience with the good and bad aspects of MFT. You may handle the gear and he will demonstrate it in action. Then you can make your own conclusions from an informed perspective.
