Jean-Pierre is a self-taught photographer. Actually, he just loves being out in nature getting close enough to wildlife to photograph them. When he comes home, he wants to share what he has experienced with the wild things.
Jean-Pierre Parenty was born and raised in Otterburne, Manitoba where he developed a keen interest in animals. As an adult, he became fascinated with wildlife, and he combined his interest in photography to become a wildlife photographer. After many photo-trips to Africa, Asia, and South. America, he decided to focus on the wildlife of Canada.
He received a wildlife accreditation in 2014 with the Professional Photographer of Canada (PPOC). He regularly places among the top wildlife photographers in the country winning awards in regional and national professional competitions.
Nothing is more rewarding for Jean-Pierre than to spend a day in nature and to come home with exciting images to share. “The more people know about wildlife, the more they will be interested in protecting it.”
Jean-Pierre will focus on a Photo Trip he took in June 2023 on the west coast of Vancouver Island where he photographed coastal wolves. If time permits, he will also present his Muskoxen Trip to Kuujjuaq.
