Field Trip-Royal Air Museum of Western Canada-21 Sept., 2018

Join me for a couple of hours at the Royal Air Museum from 10AM to 12PM.  I wanted to get this field trip in because the museum will be closing on 24 October, 2018.  It’s not permanent, but it will remain closed until the new museum is built.

If you’ve never been to the museum, I recommend a wide angle prime lens or a wide angle zoom lens like a 16-35.  I’ve shot with a 35mm lens on a full frame camera and found that there are spots that challenged me to get the whole display into the frame.  A 24mm prime will probably work well, but a zoom as mentioned will give you the best opportunity.

We will try something a little different.  I’ll pick a specific display and each of us will shoot that display while the other participants are away.  I will compile the shots and we will show the images at the next image review following the field trip.  It should be fun to see how each participant interprets the scene.

Come out and enjoy this gem of a museum!
