March 20, 2024 – Presentation by Robert Wilson.

Robert has photographed (and developed/printed) since a shy teenager, mostly excluding people from his photographs.  Later, in business, he used photography only for practical purposes.  In retirement, his photography almost without exception includes people.

Robert  creates scenes (often building props & sets) and put actors in them.  Although he uses Photoshop, whatever prop/scene you see in his compositions, it is real, not added digitally.

Robert’s scenes are often Chaplinesque; characters in odd/humorous situations making fun of the situation/activity, never the participant.  A reflection of what’s going on his mind.

If there is any goal for a viewer of Robert’s photographs, it is to generate an emotion.
