Mike Grandmaison is known for creating unique images that reflect the natural beauty and diversity of Canada. Widely recognized as one of this country’s finest nature photographers, his award-winning images have been featured in some of the world’s finest publications, as well as in a wide array of books, calendars, and postage stamps. Robert L. Peters is a well-known graphic designer, art director, author, juror, and guest lecturer. He collaborated with Mike on the recently published book Natural Reflections, a singular gallery of images which is curated, amplified, and informed by his observations.
In this illustrated presentation, Mike will show images from his extensive portfolio, including from the recent book Natural Reflections and discuss ‘Why They Work’ — outlining the important elements of creating effective photographs, explaining expert techniques, and touching on how the right equipment can contribute to success. Rob will provide supportive critique and commentary on the important design considerations that contribute to exceptional image-making.
